SA Matney will present a case study which targeted a former NASA subcontractor, who was a Naturalized United States Citizen from Iran. MODANLO was convicted in 2013 for charges arising from a conspiracy to illegally broker satellite and rocket technology to Iran over many years while profiting $10 million as part of secret effort to help Tehran launch its first ever satellite.

Bio:
Tonya Matney is a Special Agent (SA) with Homeland Security Investigations, the investigative arm of DHS which was formed after the events of 911 and combined the legacy authorities of both the former Immigration and Naturalization Service and US Customs Service. SA Matney is assigned to the Counter Proliferation Investigations (CPI) group in Baltimore, Maryland where she has disrupted and dismantled individuals, groups, and procurement networks both domestic and foreign, who attempt to obtain U.S. technology and provide it to proscribed destinations and international terrorist organizations throughout the world in violation of U.S. export laws.
